Prospective Marriage Visa
Are you outside Australia and have the intentions to marry:
- an Australian citizen
- an Australian permanent resident
- an eligible New Zealand citizen
You may then be eligible for a prospective marriage visa.
This visa allows you to enter Australia and marry your partner, you will usually be given 9 months to reside in Australia and to marry your partner.
Once this step is complete you will then be able to apply for a 820/801 partner visa.
